Integrated E-Mobility and Energy Management Solutions

E-mobility and digitalization pose new challenges for commercial business. E.g. hotels see e-mobility as an opportunity to expand their services, but are not aware of the challenges introduced by an uncoordinated expansion of charging infrastructure. The Fraunhofer IEE has developed a two-fold solution to the related issues:

1. A model-predictive controller for optimal e-vehicle charging to minimize costs related to charging while respecting customer mobility requirements and comfort. The controller is integrated into a plattform that allows additional digital customer engagement and energy management services for commerical buildings. Using such a plattform also allows deriving customer-specific mobility and load forecasts, which are a key for a successful e-mobility integration.
2. An optimization tool for charging infrastructure planning for commerical buildings.
